Q: I am really not trying to put a fine point on it but just determine if the 503 engine is sufficient for the task. My aviation experience is extensive but nil when it comes to U/L. What is OK for cruising the plains may be heavily taxed by the conditions here in North Idaho. It seems prudent to go with the 582 especially since I may be using it in the trike configuration as well as the PPC.
A: Yes you are right, the 582 it is a better choice if you looking for performance, however the 503 is a very reliable engine too, if your weight and your passenger weight is about 200 Lb. and the altitude above sea level is no more then 3000 ft the 503 performs fine! Also remember that most UL pilots select the 503 for reliability and lowered overall cost .Our planes are not heavy, design for light weight strong aerodynamic composite frame to give maximum performance, however for take off distance less then 100 ft and climb rate over 1200 ft/min there is also the 582/912 choice, I have also send you two estimates to get an idea of different options you have

first
powered chute.I weigh 160 pounds. Should I get a chute sized for my
weight?I live in MA just off interstate 91.What are my options for
pickup or direct delivery to me? What specials may still be available?
Thank you, L.

| Q:Hi, you have really cool looking trikes. I have been exploring the idea of trike flying for a few years and this year I am ready to start training and looking into buying a trike. I have been looking at BB trikes and Tukans and Sabres and a bunch of others. Had pretty much made my mind up to buy a Sabre Wildcat - until I happened to find your website. I have had a little trouble navagating your site (being a little dim and computor challenged). Do you sell your trikes as kits? What could I expect to save buying a kit? I am interesting in getting a dual. Would like the 582 engine, but that may be a bit of a stretch for me financially. I would like all the critical instrumentation that I would need to fly safely and a BRS and electric start if I can swing it. I don't know why I haven't heard of your company before. Certainly compared to some of the bigger foreign brands your prices are not bad for what you get. I am curious why you are inclined to refer to your trikes a powered para gliders. Of course that is what they are, but there isn't anything essentially different about them compared to other trikes on the market is there? I mean, they are as much a trike as are the other brands on the market is there. I guess the reason I as is that there are some people who sell what is essentially just a hand glider with a seat and motor attached. I believe, to be safe, a trike has to have a wing that is specifically designed to carry a trike. Anyway, thanks for your time, doug c. | |
| A: We call our trikes powered gliders not powered paragliders this is for the BP Parawing, the DFS line is our trikes, below is an estimate for a DFS Dual Trike Kit with the rotax 582 as an option, we also offer free kit installation at the moment, you only need to do engine installation, however we also offer our trikes ready to fly, questions welcome. Thanks |
| Q: Hi I don't mean to be dim. I've been looking at so many trikes and all the various options and prices my head is spinning. I keep coming back to the Spartans because that look so nice and seem really well thought out. You sent me you price list, but I still have a couple of questions. Looking at the pics I get the impression that the slopes quite a ways forward. I am wondering if this presents an issue for tall passengers. | |
| A: The seats are adjustable and can fit any size pilot and passenger up to 6.8 ft and 350 LB weight! | |
| Q: Am I correct in assuming that the kit comes with everything that you get with a fully assembled trike? Same instruments and what not? | |
| A: Not including all the small parts like the list on next email, however you can order this parts and we can included in your kit, kits include the trike/engine and glider, you need to install the engine! |
| Q: Does the "ready to fly option" simply mean a preassembled kit. | |
| A: NO, ready to fly comes with the engine and the kit ready for flying! | |
| Q: I guess I'm asking, perhaps stupidly, whether or not a kit comes with everything you need to be ready to fly once it is assembled. My desire would be to go with a kit and assemble it myself - use the difference to buy a BRS. So, basically, I would be looking to buy a DFS kit with a 582 and a BRS and maybe electric start. I just want to have a complete understanding of what I am getting and have the whole picture what the total expense would be. I know you have gone to some trouble to try and lay it out for folks, but some of us are a little slower than others. Oh, another question, what would it cost to get a red one instead of a yellow or white one? thanks, doug c. | |
| A: Below is a complete list for the DFS Dual Trike and options................... |
| Q: Hi ......, Doug C. again. The more I think about it the more I am inclined toward buying an already assembled trike. I am assuming the built trike comes complete and ready to fly. Would that be correct? I am also assuming it comes with the basic instrumentation necessary to fly. Thanks for your patience, doug c. | |
| A: Yes, the ready to fly option is the best, pre-order price is very low at the moment, trike will come complete with all the basic instruments! Look the estimate that i send you, also look all the free options we offer now, questions welcome, thanks | |
| Q: I purchased a DFS, semi-square PPC with a Hirth 25 hp a couple a years back from you and want to get a different paraglider with a better glide ratio like 7:1 or 8:1. What would work well with my DFS? | |
| A: the 38 or 42 m paraglider will work fine very good performance, questions welcome, how many hour you have on the DFS? any pictures? |
| Q:Dear Sir or Madam:
Could you please answer the following questions for me: 1. What would it cost to pre-order a DFS Dual PPC (Rotax 503 DCDI) with 15 gallon fuel tank? 2. What is the empty weight complete? 3. I assume that this could not be packaged so that it could be shipped through the US Postal Service. What would it cost to deliver it to me here in Heidelberg, Germany. I am serving with the US forces here and it should be able to be shipped without customs charges. |
|
| A: Dear Customer: Below is a complete packing-list for the DFS Dual PPC and options, please print this e-mail if you like to order for ordering verification. If you have any questions I be more then happy to help,........ | |
| Q:
1. If option
two includes frame and engine installation, what is the difference between
option 1 and option 2?
2. Your web
page indicated that electric starter was included in pre-order, this price
list looks like it is an additional $1195.00,
please clarify.
|
|
| A:
Is the delivery time, pre-order units takes more time, please look
pre-order page from our web site, questions at , thanks
The E reduction drive comes with E-start and yes is optional for $1195,
however the e-start option with B drive is only $595, all electric
starters are optional for the DFS Dual!
